Joost Moolhuijzen

Joost studied architecture at the Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands and after graduating, he worked in London with Michael Squire from 1987 to 1990. He joined the Workshop in 1990, working on several important projects including the Cité Internationale development in Lyon, and subsequently working as lead architect on the Potsdamer Platz project in Berlin. Since becoming Partner in 1997, Joost has overseen a wide range of projects including the Modern Wing of the Art Institute of Chicago.

He was Partner in Charge of the Shard in London, the Fubon Headquarters & Museum tower in Taipei, and Paddington Square, a new mixed-use building and public quarter adjacent to London’s historic Paddington Station. He is currently in charge of projects such as the Mareterra residential project in Monaco and a museum project in Greece. Joost was appointed Member of the Board in 2011.
